How to Make: Rustic & Rich Hot Chocolate

Wanting something to warm your hearts and soothe your soul this Winter? PERFECT for sippin' on while you settle into movies at nights with the ones you love or holding in hand while sitting outside in the fresh air while you soak in the view with your favourite book? Well we got the perfect thing! Home Made Rustic & Rich Hot Chocolate.. So wipe the drool from your mouth, jot down the ingredients, run to the store and get ready to make the best thing you've ever tasted in liquid form.


  • 4 Cups on Milk

  • 1/4 Cup unsweetened Cocoa Powder

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

  • 100 Grams Chocolate of choice ( recommend Dark )

  • Pink of Salt

  • Marshmallows

  • Whipped Cream


1. Light the stove to a medium-high heat.

2. Place milk, cocoa powder and sugar into saucepan and place on stove and allow to simmer.

3. Add salt and chocolate and continue to whisk frequently until chocolate is melted, texture is smooth an d milk is frothy.

4.Ladle your rich & rustic hot chocolate from saucepan into 4 mugs.

5. Place marshmallows into mug, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa powder and chocolate shavings.

After a beautiful 13 kilometre drive through the rainforests of Booderee (Jervis Bay) National Park you arrive at Paradise - The Cove. The sound of the ocean replaces the noise of traffic, native wildlife abounds as kangaroos hop through the grounds and native parrots skim through trees, the backdrop is of forest not buildings. While The Cove can be used as a base to explore the historic surrounding districts, its relaxed atmosphere and tranquil beachfront location surrounded by Booderee National park lead most guests to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of swimming, bushwalking, boating, reading and in the evening meeting fellow guests at the central barbecue facilities. Put simply, just relaxing! All within an easy drive!

We offer 1, 2 & 3 bedroom self contained holiday cabins as well as a large house for bigger groups.  There are 15 cabins in total, plus the large house. Our eco cabins, cottages and units are all fully equipped with linen, bath towels, cutlery and crockery and all open onto shaded decks, most with views over landscaped grounds. Accommodation is self catering and facilities include a central BBQ area and children's playground as well as direct beach access and boat ramp. Individual lodging is available for as few as two people and as many as sixteen.

Come to The Cove and GLAMP!   - Stay in a gorgeous canvas (and yes, waterproof!) bell tent already pitched and ready and waiting for you. Furnished with a beautiful king size bed, Pony Ride cushions, an outdoor table and two deck chairs, a daybed (can be used as an extra bed) and some cute little touches. The glamping tents have a communal bathroom of three showers, three toilets  and one luxe bath under the stars (but private) which is shared by all the tents, shampoo, conditioner, body wash is included. There is an outdoor chill out space with a communal table and chairs, and a BBQ and camp kitchen with microwave, kettle, cups, plates, cutlery, chopping boards and knives etc.
